I have no idea what colour the world's roaches are, but my husband once described being faced down by a cockroach THE SIZE OF HIS FOOT back when he was an expat teacher in the UAE.

I mean, the thing reared onto its hind legs and hissed at him.

Roach does that, I don't care what colour it is, I'm getting the hell out of there.

I know they can get a few inches in length, and I've heard tales of freakishly large ones in parts of South or Southeast Asia... but... the size of his foot? Is he sure it was a roach?
