I've got a 5K tomorrow! And I hope to not screw up in it because my mind has let me down with stress and increase in weight and general unpleasantness.

Oh and then I found out today that my father who lives in another state fell off a ladder today and may have broken two vertebrae. But I haven't heard back. Meanwhile I'm thinking, well shit my mother fell back in 2007 and the third vertebrae up from the bottom of her spine exploded. And her back has never recovered from that.

So um yeah. Depressing. And I'm letting my mind get to me and don't know how to stop!

Oh my, I hope you do well in your 5k! And I hope you hear back about your father soon. Waiting on news can be terribly worrying. Have you tried calling again?

And perhaps you can read or watch something to take your mind off it?

Hi! I did pretty well, no side cramps, yay! That's been a big issue for me this past summer when running. So I started drinking an electrolyte mix (private company from Advocare, one of those Amway type deals) for the past three weeks and that seems to have made a first good impact!

I called my dad, he has two broken vertebrae in the spine that are cracked. No muscle or nerve damage thankfully! He's just bored waiting in the hospital to go home. Has to wait for the "bone doctor" though to tell him what his status is and recovery and all that jazz.

My mind is a constant minefield. I'll just have to keep playing and not pushing any buttons!

I am glad you did well! Especially the lack of side cramps, those suck.

I am also glad your father is doing well. :) Hopefully his recovery will be quick.
