Standard kindle. Satisfied with it (mostly) but do not have a basis for comparison.

For me the decision between the regular kindle vs the paperwhite (or any comparable products) pretty much is coming down to whether it's easier to turn pages with a touchscreen or a button. I find myself getting annoyed with the touchscreen on my phone a LOT ("No, damnit, I just want to scroll down, not copy and paste!")

My mom has the basic Kindle (buttons to navigate), and I have the Paperwhite (touch to navigate). Preference may just come down to what you're used to, but I like tapping the screen to turn the page. I can actually read my Kindle while on the treadmill, because I can just tap the screen. If I had to reach the buttons, I'd probably have to be holding it.
