So… you think characters that are bad people are necessarily badly written?

Terrible was probably the wrong word, what I mean is that if I don't like a character personally, any complexity or interestingness is completely lost on me and I can't even begin to look at them as a character because I can't stand how annoying they are.

Vriska from Homestuck is the textbook example of this - I find her so fundamentally unlikable that reading her scenes is about as enjoyable as sticking forks in my eyes, so I'm completely fucking sick of everyone else in the fandom saying that my disliking her is invalid because she's so "~complex and interesting!!1!1! and also my waifu!!1!1oneone1!!~".
