I'm the receptionist at work, and it drives me nuts when people can't get over the fact that they called the wrong number. I want to be easy on them because I'm sure sometimes it's that they honestly thought they had the right number, and are trying to be absolutely sure we're not X, but when I have to tell you five times that we're not whoever you were trying to call, it's time to hang up politely and try again.

Also, when people call, give minimal information. Your name is Bob, and you want to talk to someone? Okay then...
