Maybe it's just me, but I actually really enjoy all parts of the relationship story. I like the crushes, the buildup, the UST, the getting together, the working-out-of-problems, the day-to-day routines, the issues that come up, the happy fluffy romantic moments, the happily ever after, and even the kids if applicable (definitely not a requirement, though). I like it all! And I like couples that have the whole package in a story.

Wouldn't you rather have a story with an actual plot instead. Where the characters focus on an actual problem or event instead of their love lives? Leave the romance in the trash can and get on with something big instead.

/eyeroll

Sometimes I go to fic or media specifically for romance. People like different things, anon.

If I had my way, I'd have AO3 and The Pit alter their code so that every time someone selected Romance or Hurt-comfort as their genre, it'd delete the fic without saving and then upload a virus onto the offender's computer to deactivate their keyboard. Also it would automatically flag a hit man to go round their home to chop off their fingers.

Then maybe it wouldn't take wading through ten pages of shit to find something actually worth reading.

Wow you must be a hoot at parties.

Or maybe (here's a radical thought), you could select the genre you want to read instead of scrolling through stories in genres that don't interest you.

Romance is a plot, sorry bro. :)

I'm pretty much the same as you, depending on the fandom ofc, but I like to see everything that goes on with a couple. Give me getting together fic, give me fic where they've been together for a while and are working on issues, just give it all to me man.

Yessssss, give me all of it.
