um no, as a scholar in biblical studies (I watched the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical) John was a little shit that didn't even stay awake, and Jesus and Judas made out on stage and then Judas reprised the love song sang earlier by Mary Magdalene (sp?). pretty sure you can't get more canon than that
