And, as an extension, people assuming you're saying/meaning something that you never said because they think it's there in your silences/body language/whatever. One of my friends has been doing this lately. I'm a rather blunt and transparent person; I don't really do the "hidden motives" thing in most cases. Believe me, friend, I am not angry at you just because I didn't reply to your last message within a certain amount of time. STAHP.

I hate this too. I'm generally very upfront. I'd rather everything be out in the open than worry about giving or getting any hidden signals, and even after I've made that clear, some people I know just refuse to believe that I mean what I say and nothing more.
