I think I'm allergic to a lot of conservative buzzwords like "mainstream media," "left coast," and "homosexual" (I know the latter is a scientific term but I've spent my entire life listening to people use that word as a dehumanizing tactic.)

i'd also like to add "pink commie" and "treehugger" to your list, because apparently anyone who believes even /slightly/ in conserving the environment is a "greenie terrorist"

I don't think I've ever seen 'pink(o) commie' used seriously, and it's been decades since I've seen 'treehugger' used as a serious disparagement (serious self-descriptor, yes, insult, no).

I hate the word lifestyle in general but especially when it's used by homophobes.
I also hate playdate. too much use by smug parents.

I'm a part of this group for young adults and some of them are very church affiliated and hearing one of them say something about "not approving of certain lifestyles" just made me want to cringe or twitch so hard.

I mean I'm religious too...but....just...I don't think of an orientation as a "lifestyle" it just means who you find attractive.
