I'm trying to see anything out of the ordinary with BM's eyes and coming up empty. Maybe you just fail at makeup?

Not out of the ordinary, but not exactly typical. His upper eyelids are significantly more curved than his lower eyelids, or rather (especially with the expression he has here) his lower eyelids run almost straight across. His upper eyelids slant down rather strongly at the outer ends. It's not a bad look, but it's a little outside the present mainstream idea of "pretty, feminine" eyes. You can make them up, but they're still going to be drooping down on the ends and sort of almond in the middle. They won't look like Lana Del Ray's eyes or Bette Davis's eyes in any case.
