external epicanthic fold. I've always thought it's very attractive. :)

I don't wear makeup so I might be off base but there are probably a bunch of youtube video tutorials out there because a lot of Asian people have hooded eyelids (is that the term?) like that, I think.

Always thought of them as "bedroom eyes." A sleepy kind of look.
I have something similar in one eye, however it's due to a childhood injury.

bedroom eyes are a specific thing, though-- it's a certain amount of space between the bottom of your pupil and your lower eyelid.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-30 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Like how much space?

DA

I believe that's (also) called "Bette Davis Eyes":

(It's exacerbated in this photo because she's looking up, but at normal, she always had a noticeable white line between iris and bottom lid.)

Whaaat. For years I just thought "bedroom eyes" meant looking at someone like you want to have sex with them.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-30 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
So did I.

it does, idk what this anon is talking about

My grandmother used the phrase "bedroom eyes" in the same context, because my eyes are also the same as the ones in the picture.

Bedroom eyes just means eyes that look like a come-on for sex; in other words, aroused. Some eyes in a natural state have slightly swollen lids, either upper or lower or both, and so they get pegged with the name, but anyone can have bedroom eyes.

His eyes remind me of that guy from Inception Gordon Levitt (sp) on this photo.

I look kinda similar to DW Clara, but it didn't make me like her more. =/

PS Medium set eyes that are a bit droopy with the hidden upper lids and the lower lids that are not too defined and a little puffy? Beautiful, magnificent, etc, etc as applicable. :D

OP, I've got pretty hooded eyes too. Start with a good eyeshadow primer, or all the makeup will race to your crease almost immediately! Concealer will work too, but I find an actual primer works best for me (Urban Decay makes a nice one, and you don't need much, so while it's a little pricy, it lasts practically forever). Dot it on your lid and then go to town. If you want to open your eyes up, a little bit of white or light-colored powder/shadow on the inside corner near the tear duct will add a some brightness. I generally stick with the lightest color from brow to crease, a darker color on the lid, and the darkest color as a liner, or blended out into the crease. You can usually find eyeshadow palettes with three or four colors, and frequently directions on which color goes where. With a primer, even inexpensive drugstore shadow should stay put, so you can buy a few different brands/shades/finishes and see what you like best.

I'm trying to see anything out of the ordinary with BM's eyes and coming up empty. Maybe you just fail at makeup?

Not out of the ordinary, but not exactly typical. His upper eyelids are significantly more curved than his lower eyelids, or rather (especially with the expression he has here) his lower eyelids run almost straight across. His upper eyelids slant down rather strongly at the outer ends. It's not a bad look, but it's a little outside the present mainstream idea of "pretty, feminine" eyes. You can make them up, but they're still going to be drooping down on the ends and sort of almond in the middle. They won't look like Lana Del Ray's eyes or Bette Davis's eyes in any case.
