I'd like to see something like She's the Man or (if you're old school) Just One of the Guys, only instead of pretending to be a guy to prove something, the main character was actually FTM and transferring schools to try to pass/transition.

Of course, it probably never can exist short of being filmed remarkably fast with someone who's actually transitioning or finding a set of male/female twins who look enough alike that it could be believable.

"never"?

With the rate at which film technology is progressing, I highly doubt it'll be impossible in, say, 10 or 20 years or so.

Just One of the Guys is one of my favorite movies (I am old, I guess, even though I was a toddler when it was released). And now that you mention, I'd love a story that explored Rick and male!Terry's friendship, especially if it stayed true to the idea of Terry being gay.

Damn it, now I want this, too.

I've heard Tomboy is about that (Always meant to watch it; didn't get to it yet). The boy is played by a cis girl though.

Why would it have to be fast? Boyhood was filmed over 9 years. Not exactly the same thing but doable.

Point being that, if you want to get a lot of stories in, pre-transition or during transition, you've generally got a fairly narrow window once the hormones start flowing before the voice reaches its final destination and hair and fat do their thing.
