Exactly. The JL might've been flawed, but they were a likeable flawed. They were flawed and they still tried to do the right thing.

When we talk of heroes making the "hard choices" that is the choice and the answer we want to see.

To switch fandoms for a moment and steal from Doctor Who, better to risk failing at doing the right thing than succeed at doing the wrong thing.

Switching back, if it was animated now, or worse, part of the current DC comic lineup that would end with everyone swallowing the Stepford koolaid for the greater good.
