Idk why, but I really don't like compliments on my appearance. It annoys me beyond insults actually, and I have no idea why. It isn't like I'm self-conscious or have a bad self-image. I wish I could just accept the silly things and move on (especially since my hangup over these compliments is effecting my dating life ugh).

For me, compliments on my appearance annoy me because I don't really /care/ about my appearance all that much. Yet many of my relatives focus a lot on that. And I just want them to focus on other things.

I'm more than what I look like! I'm intelligent! I have a job! I have hobbies! But you know, fuck all that, thank god I'm pretty otherwise I'd be fucking worthless, right?
