Reposting Fanart Without the Artist's Permission

So the other day, by googling, I happened upon a mountain of fan art from a variety of East Asian and Russian fan sites. I'd love to share them with people, the problem I'm having is that I have no way of getting into contact or even crediting some of the artists.

For the art I found that does have watermarks or is signed, I need to have an account at a Chinese site to access them on the artist's page (instead of just through google). Some of the art doesn't have any identifying marks at all and when I do a google image search, I get some foreign sites, but nothing I can read.

Do you think it would be alright to post the art with a disclaimer that it's not mine and that I'll give credit or take it down if the original artist asks me to/gets in contact with me?

It's just really beautiful work and I'd love to share it, but I can't think of a way to give proper credit, given that I don't speak a single word of their artists' languages and can't think of a way to get in touch with them.

Specifically, "Are Vulcans autists/aspies?" discussion; I'm curious of what the fandom has the say on the matter of their logic and emotions.

I did type my question in a search engine, got several matches and... stopped short before clicking on any, wondering about their quality. What if they were on par with that (in)famous "Jasmine is ttly trans!" Tumblr post? so I figured I would stop and ask: can anyone rec me meta posts?
(If so, I'll be very grateful; If not, I'll just man up and resume my trekking through uncharted posts and figure it by myself.)

Inspired by having spent the week hunting for a replacement for my favorite hair item, what are some products you've had exceptionally good luck with?

The one in question for me is the Conair ultimate updo clip, although why they call it a 'clip' is beyond me: http://www.conair.com/ultimate-updo-clip-p-1600-1_141_162.html I have mid-back-length, ultra-thick hair, I use this thing every day, and my old one lasted over three years before bending out of shape and eventually snapping. It takes me about five minutes to pull my hair up into a "cheater" French twist with this, and maybe a couple bobby pins if it's humid or I'm planning on running, and it stays up all day.

Do you have any real life "head canons", or perhaps a better way of phrasing this is:

Have things happened to you in real life where you know that what you're thinking is not necessarily what everyone else is thinking/that's not even going on, but you still kind of play it like they're thinking what you think they're thinking, even when they're probably not?

That is to say, X is happening, and you're aware everyone else is seeing the same thing, but the way you assume everyone's internal opinions is slightly different from what happened?

i.e. Situation: Person was looking in your direction. Perception: Person was checking me out/plotting to kill me/looking through me, etc.

Who is Hollywood putting in all these romances for?

I just don't get it. A lot of action films feature an extraneous romance that could easily be removed without affecting the plot. Who exactly is Hollywood targeting with these? As far as I can tell, men generally think they're a waste of time -- based on what I've seen on reddit, imgur, or discussion boards like imdb.

But for women, from what I've seen of fandom, slash pairings are far and away more popular (just look at MCU for starters).

So who is Hollywood putting these in for?

Not saying that's ALL women or ALL men, mind you. But I've never seen the romances listed as a strong suit for these types of blockbuster action movies, comments by men critical of them tend to be up voted, and fan works tend to fall heavily into slash or alternate pairings.

Clothes you know you could never get away with

I've got an udying love for below. The faux militarism, the heavy emphasis on the sleeves, the split pattern. I just think it's the coolest thing ever.

Problem

1. It would be incredibly tryhard me not being military and all.

2. They don't make them for women, and I'd never fit into mens.

3. The comments and ridicule would be endless.

Where should I get news?

I feel very uninformed, and I don't know where to look for reliable news. I don't own a TV and I can't afford one, so the most likely way would be online, but you obviously can't trust most online "news." I thought about looking at the websites for the major news networks, but I don't know of many. I know about FOX and MSNBC, but those are both out, because I want as neutral of a perspective as I can get, and I know that CNN is supposed to be neutral, but I have no respect for them unless they issue an earnest apology for their comments about Steubenville. I know that might not sound reasonable to some of you, but it's a big enough problem for me so that I don't feel like I can trust them. You guys look pretty informed to me, so can you recommend some news sources that you respect?

Here is a reminder that the book for the month of October is Red Sails in the Fallout by Paul Kidd.

I'm not yet sure what date the discussion post will be, but it will NOT be on the last day of October, since that's Halloween and many people (including myself) will probably be partaking in Halloween-related activities. I'll keep you posted on that.

It's time to setup the poll for November, so recs are NOW OPEN. Please read the following before reccing a book! (Like seriously, actually read them. If you don't, your rec might not be accepted because you didn't follow the rules, and that would be sad.)

1. Books that were on the August poll, and did not make the tiebreaker, have now completed their two-month cooldown period and are eligible for re-reccing!

2. I'm lifting the one-rec-per-person limit since we only got half a dozen recs last time. Rec away! (Within reason. If you put up, like, five, I may ask that we wait a few days before including all of them, for fairness' sake.)

3. Rec with the title, author, and a short summary.

4. Keep in mind that book availability WILL influence whether people vote for your book. If your book is very obscure, people aren't going to want to go to a lot of trouble/pay a lot of money to read it.

5. Total limit is 15 recs, and we only have one tiebreaker leftover from the October poll, so there are 14 open slots.
