I just don't like the character. He's boring. The whole storyline is just so forced and terrible. Least believable declaration of love I've seen in anything. Ever.

I'm really hoping he turns out to be a bad guy or something.

This, except for the last part. That would almost redeem him and I don't want this boring, bland character to have some glorious reveal. Let him languish in mediocricy instead.
