8. You're allowed your opinion but I have to disagree. And it kind of irritates me when people say Arakawa is taking tips from the anime (Rose, Kimblee); you didn't say that but I just thought about it when reading your secret.

12. So uh what? Shounen can't have character development now? News to me.

12. I don't think that was the point of the secret. The point is that a lot of people are bitching about Bleach's post-Soul-Society-arc for having lots of fights and power-ups, and using this to claim that there's no character development (there is, actually, a lot of it). But the fact is... it's a shounen manga although in terms of violent content, Bleach has kinda been bordering on seinen lately >_>. It's going to have a lot of fights and so on; people use its fighting content to criticize it as having no character development, when that's a tremendous exaggeration. Some of the key character development has taken place post-SS arc, in fact.

Ahhh I see now. I haven't read Bleach so I guess I was making the comment from a general shounen viewpoint or something ^^;

Ahahah, yeah. Personally, I love Bleach because of the amazing characterizations and plot, but yeah, the secret-poster is right -- I think sometimes the fandom just has to sit down and remember that this is a shounen, sometimes we are going to get long, 'pointless' fights and power-ups. Although Kubo Tite (the mangaka) is usually very good at tying in emotions and so-on to those fights.
