Arthur caving to Gwen's Christianity is bad. Morgaine caving to finding the Goddess in the Virgin Mary is excused.

Arthur's religious choices were bad from Morgaine's perspective because Morgaine was flawed in that she couldn't find a religious middle ground. Morgaine's climactic moment of character growth is finding the goddess in the Virgin Mary.

It's "excused" because it's not a bad thing that she became more mature.

Is this argument supposed to make sense? The fact that you think Morgaine never gets shit for her bad choices astounds me. She basically ruined any chance paganism had to make a comeback.
