Yes, very good point. I loved this book as a teen, but as an adult I see more of the flaws. Morgaine's jealousy of Gwenhwyfar colors all her future encounters with her, so we see Gwenhwyfar as weak and shrewish, etc. No other women but Morgaine seems to have any humanity. And yeah, sadly it does make more sense in light of MZB's cover up for her husband's sexual abuse of children. :(

good lex is surprisngly boss. My headcanon is that as the universe reset Godlex had just enough power to try to make himself something better, in an odd moment of self reflection despite his failings. (if you read enough comics that babble makes sense honest)

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I think a lot of times, when you get into something that's not very popular, the feelings you have about it can be very particular and specific. You can have these very personal relationships with things, in a lot of ways because they're not well known. And when it gets more popular, it doesn't always get popular in a way that you like or agree with. And that can absolutely be offputting. It's just... different.

And there probably is a little bit of... it's not special anymore. That's just sort of the way it goes, I guess. That's just being human.
