Not ...exactly as it stands. It could be if we had a little more information about how OP's life and the people in OP's life are actually affected by this.

It's probably a sexual dependence as of now, though.

Unless this is just a new fling you've just discovered and are still honeymooning, you should probably do something about this. There's nothing wrong with periodically thinking about your OTP during the day, but the focus and giving up other hobbies and preoccupation...not so good. It'll make you miss out on the rest of life.

Also? You might enjoy them even more if you don't think about them all the time.

This was my thought too. But it doesn't really out anyone since I think there are a bunch of people here right now who are into that pairing more than any other.

I do this, too, if not quite as extremely as you. And usually it's a different ship every few months.

I used to do this a lot. I think it was a combination of my obsessive personality, as well as a coping method for stress and anxiety. It never interfered with my day to day life, and I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

Are you unhappy? Because it just seems like a serious form of escapism - the one where you escape from your entire life. I can get obsessive about OTP's a lot, and I probably think about 'em shagging way too much too, but I only sort of "phase out" of real life like that when I'm having problems. The OTP just seems a catalyst for it.

I came here to say exactly this. I have depression issues, and when my depression was way off the rails a few years back, this is exactly how I lived my life.

Hoping OP is not having the same issue, tbh.

On one hand I think it's fine if you want to think about your OP and if that's what gets you off, fine. Good, even! (I admit to thinking about pairings I like too, particularly when I'm waiting to fall asleep. Sometimes it helps.)

However, all the time sounds a bit excessive... If it's affecting your life or relationships then it might be best to talk to someone about it. (But I agree with other people in that it sounds like something you might be doing to not think about RL, and I can understand that. Most people need an escape at some point, I think.)

I was all on board with this secret until the 'all the time' part. This is a little obsessive, not to mention unhealthy. I like to think about my OTP fucking too, but not 24/7. That's a little much.

I do that. Every once in a while I'll have a new one, but I seem to have one that I've been going back to lately. It probably isn't that different from how other people handle fap-fodder.

This was basically me all through high school. Thankfully I grew out of it, though I do still obsess a little when I discover a new pairing I really like.
