The hair in Winter Soldier in general was bad. His was bad, but Natasha's was worse. I still can't get over her horrible wig.

You know, whenever people talk about unpopular fandom opinions, I can never think of an opinion I have that would truly count as unpopular. But I just realized that no, this is it, this is my most unpopular fandom opinion: I liked Natasha's hair in TWS.

So did I! I will admit that I thought it looked terrible in the stills and previews, but seeing it in the actual film...it was cute on her. Looked good. (Then again, I've felt that way about so many things in the MCU universe, haha. God. Bucky's Winter Soldier outfit, Tony's Iron Man 3 suit, and right now I feel that way about several of the Avengers: AOU costumes...but I can only imagine they'll look much better in the actual film, like usual.)

A gifset of that scene where Sam tells Steve and Natasha where his wings are and they're just like "*shrug* nbd" just crossed my dash earlier and I couldn't stop staring at Natasha's hair in her gif. I DON'T CARE I LOVE IT.

I also appreciate all the theories it brought about how she got a hair straightener at Sam's place.

I don't blame you. IMO it looks ten times better in motion than it does in stills, and it really suits Scarlett's face. I wish I could pull off hair like that, but alas I could not.

I also appreciate all the theories it brought about how she got a hair straightener at Sam's place.

Those are fun!

Me too tbh. I don't think it looks that good in stills, though, but I honestly didn't mind it in the movie. Granted, I liked her Avengers hair better, but if I was to rank it, it would be

Avengers > Cap 2 > Iron Man 3

I wanted her hair (and especially Sharon's hair) parted on the side, but otherwise I didn't think it was that bad.

Bucky outdid them all tbh. Wtf was with that mess?

I have a thing for long hair on guys, so I didn't mind that one so much. Plus, it made sense to be unkempt since he wouldn't care, being brainwashed and all, and it is doubtful that the HYDRA people would have cared.

Hydra's budget only went as far as chest waxing.

Maybe I'm biased (okay, I'm biased), but I actually thought it looked pretty in some scenes. (Only some, but still!)
