misogyny is a thing. Sexism disguised as pro female representation is also a thing. It's also a thing that 90% of the female characters that get hate in fandoms, they get it from people who happen to dislike romantic relationships and love interests only when those involve women but they have no problem relating to characters of the opposite sex who are portrayed (in fanfictions foremost) as people that put a romantic relationship above anything else (career, family etc)
