35. funnily enough, I empathize with the secret maker because I'm sure they have been looked down upon by fans who take their writing so seriously that they ridicule and demean those who aren't looking to be professional writers as being less worthy of writing fanfiction and participating in fandoms.

I've never encountered any such fans. Yes, I'm sure there are the people at pottersues and deleterius who can be unpleasant, but striving for improvement does not necessitate being unpleasant to other people. For those you have had the misfortune to come across, the fault lies in their general conduct, not in their ambition - god forbid that they should take the quality of their writing seriously!
