7. Old Walt was a meanie? Old news. My friend used to joke that Kingdom Hearts should have had a Song of the South level. But he was a product of his time, you shouldn't let his beliefs get in the way of admiration for his talent.

8. Arguing about shipping is pretty low on my list of priority, but as far as this pairing is concerned... I think you just don't get it.

28. Dude, you have to know the majority of fanauthors write drabbles, otherwise you wouldn't have phrased it like that. Nice job, wank bait. With the tone of the secret being so dickish, it's hard to express agreement without sounding like a total cunt, but to some extent, I do resent drabbles for the way they've completely taken over fanfiction. In some fandoms, that's all you ever find, and salad's nice and all but every now and then I'm gonna want a steak, you know? Plus, I don't think everyone really gets that just because a drabble is short doesn't mean that it's easy to write. A good drabble is like a joke - it needs a punchline and a theme. Random disjointed sentences strung together do not a drabble make, sorry.

On the other hand, I also hate epic multi-chaptered fanfic. So maybe it's just my doglike loyalty to the long one-shot talking.

7. Uh, no he wasn't. He was an American, and the majority of Americans excluding Henry Ford weren't Nazi sympathizers. There's regular old anti-Semitic, and then there's that kind of anti-Semitic. Big difference.

That said, I still love Disney shit.

I was referring more to his general biases, which probably contributed to that kind of anti-Semitic, but you're probably right. I wasn't making excuses for him though, just saying that thinking, "Man, Disney was an asshole." won't stop me from thinking, "Shit, I wish I could do the stuff he did." as well.

Yeah, I agree. He really was an asshole, though, so I have to consciously detach him from my perspective on Disney (the creative designers, not the frankly nasty company itself. That's a whole other ballpark).

The Disney Corporation has no sympathy from me. I really hate the fact that despite my best effort, sometimes I actually can't separate my feelings about them from my general love for the work they do.

You know, if their horrible HR, antitrust violations, and generally bad business practices weren't enough, I'd hate 'em solely for ESPN2 circa 1994. No offense Keith Olbermann, but ouch, the world did not need two MTVs.

Yeah, old news indeed. I don't have any problem with people who admire him for the stuff he created. Like I said, you love the stuff Disney put out? Great. But talking about him himself like he was an amazing, fantabulous guy just bothers me.

OIC. I certainly hope no one thinks Disney was a pristine paragon of good, for that he wasn't, but in fact, he's just one in a long tradition of talented dickwads. I hate all of their guts, but I admit to their excellence.
