3- Funny, I was under the impression that a lot of the intelligent ones were doing the snarking, because they're the people who are capable of understanding that it's just a hobby and not RLLY SRS BSNSS, and making fun of their chosen canon isn't going to cause the civilized world to crumble down into dust around our feet.

Then again, I fail to see how my poking a bit of good-natured fun at a show every once in a while automatically means that I think I'm better than you. I don't. I just like having a laugh at (insert character's name here)'s expense. Unless you're talking about people who snark at you and your ilk personally. In that case, I don't see why their opinions should even matter to you in the first place.

28- But drabbles can be something substantial. In fact, I (a longfic is looooooong author) have a lot of respect for people who can cram some kind of deep meaning or theme for me to chew on in a page's worth of writing. It takes a lot of skill to be able to convey something deep and profound in such a small amount of space.

But yeah, the ones who just fill up a page with stupid random crap because a page is all they can fill up can go take a hike.

Seriously! I just got into Criminal Minds last month, and I just started watching Fandom Secrets on Sunday, and this is the third Reid secret in the four days I've been here. And they're all about essentially the same episode!

I'm holding out hope that this means that, hopefully soon, we'll see some Morgan/Garcia secrets floating around.

I'd post one, but I have absolutely no secrets whatsoever. But that would be great. ~~CM characters other than Reid deserve love, damn it!~~

It's no secret that I ship Morgan/Garcia like intense burning.

Apparently, Reid can get all kinds of ass if fandom is any indication. There was even that episode about some starlet coming onto him like stink on a monkey, complete with a hot/awkward makeout scene in a pool.

I don't do much shipping for the fandom, but I love their interaction, so much! I showed the first three episodes to a friend of mine over the weekend, and she said after episode 2 'I want them to get together!'.

I have this theory that 99% of the slash section of the CM fandom wouldn't exist without him. Hahaha, yes, Someone's Watching! That was so adorably awkward. And he kept trying to rationalize her attraction to him as just a psychological side effect of her situation. Up until she was kissing him.

I'm pretty sure you're right. Without Reid, all we would have is Mandy Patinkin's Replacement Whose Name I Haven't Bothered to Memorize/Hotchner and that's no fun at all.

Ah, but there could always be set-in-the-past Gideon/Hotch! But apparently that's no fun, either. Oh, Rossi. He's been around for how many episodes now, and I still can't decide how I feel about him.

Oh yeah! Rossi. That's his name.

I don't really like him, but I'm surprised how well the writers did distinguishing him from Gideon after giving him essentially the same character description as Gideon in press releases. He's interesting, that's for sure.

3. Where did you come up with that interpretation of this secret? She never said to imply lovingly making fun of a series/fandom/whatever is a problem for her. Maybe you're counting the "non-snarky take on fandom" bit as that, but that's pretty fuckin' vague.

Fandom Secrets is like English homework. You have to read the secrets, and then come to class prepared with your own interpretation so you can debate with your classmates for an hour over what you think they mean.

Nobody likes a warm pill. Why do you think everyone keeps their vitamins in the refrigerator?

I'm not an English major for a reason, haha. In my field, you come with an opinion on a singular presentation of fact, rather than different interpretations of the facts.

Signed. I'm not sure I could stand a career ferreting out possible subtext and the interpretations thereof. I plan on providing the text for the speculation, sitting back, and watching people scratch their heads over what I could have ever meant, ending a story about gardening with a line like "she'd never be able to look at a truck vanishing into the darkness again without thinking about tarantulas."

I never said I minded that. I like making fun of stuff I like because it's just fun to have little jokes about things. ^^;

By non-snarky, I meant that I don't try to play it cool and just act the way I feel about things I like.

That's what I'd assumed you'd meant <33 I tend to feel the exact same way. If something you like is fucking awesome, why would treat it otherwise?
