You know, not everyone is capable of just jumping into writing. Some of us are very nervous, and use drabbles to ease our way into writing. Get used to handling characters and actions.

And some of the best fic I've read has been drabbles/ficlet of the 1500 words or less variety. It's hard to get real emotions and a point that moves people into that few words. So when they do, it sticks with you.
