Stupid Comcast. The other day our internet was locked for lack of payment even though we payed. And even though it was supposedly sorted out, it still keeps locking out sometimes. Like, it will be working one minute, and the next minute I'll open a new tab and get a locked message. And they have no answers for me.

It's legendary how bad Comcast is from what i've read...they're a monopoly so many places in the US, it's hard to avoid.

It really depends on where you are, I think. I've had Comcast for several years now and they've been fantastic - I can count on two hands the number of issues I've had with them that weren't weather-related.

If you have a router, unplug that, then hit the reset button on your modem for ten seconds, then wait two minutes, then plug the router back in.

If that fails, call support and tell them "I keep getting stuck in walled garden, you need to reprovision my modem."

That should be the key words you need. I'm sorry some of my colleges are kinda crap. If it helps any, some of us really do care....
