Are we talking in-universe, because if you are then you are asking why the person with the power to alter reality doesn't get hit by the crap that hits everyone else in that reality? The answer is probably in the question. If it is out of universe, then she's a hot chick in a bathing suit, nerds love that.

I don't think there is much out-of-universe mutant hate. And, I expect many fans have probably gotten sick of Wanda by this point.

When Busiek was on the Avengers, he had some bystanders worry about Wanda because she was a mutant, and that was before she was turned into a reality-warping event device.
