I know, it's so weird to me. When they announce the thing they just can't ship to me, I'm often tempted to asked, "Well, have you ever... tried?"

I understand maybe not shipping one specific pairing. For example, for me, CJ/Toby from The West Wing is just plain cannot, will not in a box, cannot will not with a fox. But not even *trying* it first to see? And not shipping a whole genre? *shrugs* IDGI.

Yeeeeeah, I hope "the thing" you mean here is a broad range (e.g. het, slash, femslash etc.) because there would be many valid reasons a person might have for not shipping a specific pairing, and asking them to "just try!" wouldn't really change that.
