I still maintain that the Terminus plot was wasted on The Walking Dead. Someone said that it was actually really in line with its counterpart in the comics, so I looked it up and have reached the conclusion that there were enough differences that while it might have been complete in the comics, it definitely wasn't on the show. Gareth could have been the perfect foil to Rick as far as as them both being leaders with really good intentions who did terrible things in the name of what they thought was right, but that never happened.

I am so mad about how quickly they ended that plot and killed Gareth.

As a plot, with consideration to what the characters would do, it makes sense. I can see Rick doing what he did, blah blah blah. As a story, when you take themes and parallels and crap into consideration, it doesn't. It was incomplete, especially when you give Gareth a motivation/backstory like that. Apart from the cannibalism, Gareth matches Rick practically blow to blow. Like I said, he'd have been the perfect foil. Killing him spits in the face of season 4, especially their 'we can always come back from what we've done!'

I'm relieved they're back on the road, to be honest. The show is at it's best when they're wandering and fighting for survival, I was so afraid Terminus was going to end up like the farm, just... endless and unmoving.

Eh, the whole cannibal thing wasn't a major plot line in the comics either. I'm glad they didn't drag it out because I didn't want to see it become The Governor plot part two.

It's not the comics, though. They've already changed up a fucktonne of other things, up to and including adding a number of characters that are key to the TV show's plot, and killing off a number of other ones.

It just felt incomplete. I wouldn't have necessarily wanted it dragged on too much longer if there wasn't anything more that could've been done with it, but there were a number of things that weren't plot holes and made sense, but still felt weird incomplete, like it was building up to something more.

At the same time, eh, I am glad that they're back on the road, like someone said.
