Dollhouse. I liked it more than most people seem to, but it could have been much better because it really did have an interesting premises. Such is life.

I...wonder if they could have kept going with the original level of tech, without the breakthrough and the Epitaph episodes.

It seems like Joss was really going for the great disaster from the beginning, while the network wanted the more episodic stuff.

And I hate what the retcon did to Boyd.

Yeah, this is a case where the studio interference definitely didn't help the show's potential.
