Hey, no one waits until US series are aired in the UK to start talking about them unwarned. You'll just have to accept this one works the other way. The skeletons are cybermen by the way, and Danny dies in a car wreck, and Clara hasn't knocked the Doctor out and the keys are not thrown away because it is a hallucination of hers. There ya go.

I love how many are butthurt by that spoiler, but when some non-American complains about spoilers of American series and movies most people here think they shouldn't complain at ALL and it's their fault for not watching it already (despite that piracy is the only way to do that and FS is so against piracy).

I'm American and I agree with you tbh. It sucks when you get spoiled, but don't whine about on a comm where spoilers for various fandoms are pretty common and expected. And definitely don't be surprised when the whining results in some jag giving you even more spoilers out of spite

I feel like people are usually pretty careful about spoilers for shit day of air, wherever it's aired. Like, people usually hide behind a spoiler warning post if they want to talk about something the day after it came out. If you're talking about something that was released months later or whatever, I think that's kind of different than something that aired like 5 hours before anon made their post, even in its native country.

I don't think it was a big deal either way, but it was a little rude.

I have seen people discussing spoilers here after less than 24 hours without using warnings tho.

Overall the fandom for American series and movies is extremely rude to anyone who doesn't watch the new stuff as soon as it's available for them and the thing is, some things are only aired months after in other country and acknowledging watching it illegally is a sure way to get dogpiled around here.

If they don't show some courtesy using the magical word SPOILERS before talking about relatively recent and important plot twists, then I don't think they have any right to complaining about spoilers.

If they were talking about shit w/o spoiler warnings in general comments within 24 hours of airing, that was wrong of them to do, and against what the general norms of the community are. It doesn't justify anyone else spoiling vindictively.

Neither does a situation where people are talking about things w/o warnings months after their initial release but before they're released in certain markets - because they're fundamentally dissimilar situations. This is a spoiler warning for something released today. Shit, there's probably a non-trivial number of fans in the original market who hadn't watched it when the post was made.

Like, I'm sorry if other people have been dicks in the past. I feel comfortable taking a universal anti-dick attitude. Being a dick is a bad thing and people shouldn't do it. That is my position.
