Re: Wasted Potential
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Nicktoons version). Season 1 was great and filled with potential. Season 2? It went off the tracks pretty bad after the winter break earlier this year. I went cold turkey after they pulled a really awful plot "twist" in the season 2 finale and I've no plans to watch S3 until after it's fully aired. =/
The entire Compilation of Final Fantasy 7. Admittedly, it was a 'damned if they do, damned if they don't' scenario, since I doubt any sort of continuation (Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus) or Prequel (Before Crisis/Crisis Core) would have lived up to everyone's expectations and head canon... but the whole thing and its execution just soured me, especially Dirge of Cerberus.
Mass Effect 3, full stop.
Fable 3. It's not *so* bad-ish in the first half of the game, but when you get to the second half, the game just takes a sharp nosedive and becomes virtually unplayable. I get that hype and big, grandiose ideas are Peter Moleyneux's trademarks and I can't really fault him for that... but what Fable 3 turned out to be was an inexcusable waste of potential.
