Big old organisation like the MoL behind them, paying their way...

I'm only intermittently following and I suppose this could have changed in the last few episodes, but... aren't the MoL pretty much extinct? Have we actually gotten confirmation that they've gotten access to cash? And when was Cas happy about being human?

Yes, the Men of Letters are all dead, but they left the library behind which is what I suspect the other commentator is referring too.

As for cash, in ep 6 Dean will try to collect an inheritance, which could be an indicator that they're not very rich right now.

Although, if they're strapped for cash they could always sell those old cars they have in their garage

Well, the MoL seems extinct, but their property seems very much there, with working electricity and everything. And while the boys have always had more money than strictly plausible, there were always at least pro-forma nods to credit card fraud and stealing.

And Cas seems rather pro-human lately, especially when contrasted with Hannah. Sure, his human experience is fairly blah, but it's far from as epically shitty as it should have been.
