OP Norman never said that. Robert Kirkman was screwing with all of Daryl's female fans when he came up with that.

Pretty sure there are several interviews where he allegedly said that he played Daryl as closeted gay.

there were talks at one point about making Daryl "prison gay"; that's the extent of it, really. reedus doesn't seem to care either way, kirkman is being a trolling douche.

also the current showrunner has said that it isn't going to be addressed this season at all... which imo is for the best.

Whoever said it and why ever they said it first, Norman is actively posting interviews and articles in which he supports the concept. He doesn't know if that's the way the character will go, and the general feeling is that Daryl is a private character and his sexuality won't get explored any time soon.
