You mean sashimi, not sushi.

No, I don't. What I'm referring to a piece of raw tuna or salmon or cooked eel atop an oblong ball of rice. Which is sushi. I'm fully aware that there is plenty of sushi that does not have raw fish or indeed any type of seafood on it, but most people see "sushi" and think "raw fish + rice", so that is why I used the term "sushi".

Not all sushi contains raw fish, you moron. And you didn't mention rice in your first post so it was easy to assume that you were an ignorant asshat.

Fuck you.

Uh what, raw fish is a pretty typical ingredient in most sushi, and a normal piece of sushi has a big slab of it. If you're going to be a dick at least make sense?

I think they were trying to be pedantic about it and failed. Or maybe they missed the point about how a great deal of sushi contains fish, so if you dislike fish, sushi as a whole loses some appeal.

I think it's because sushi is commonly mistaken to be referring to raw fish

Ah, pedantic anon, you're back. Yes, people often mistake the fact that sushi refers to the rice and not the raw fish, specifically. But for those of us who are less pedantic, we understand that a dislike of fish in general would very reasonably mean a person is less inclined to try sushi as a whole, since a great deal of sushi includes raw fish.

If you're going to insist on your narrow definition, try this experiment: go to a sushi bar (which incidentally, will probably also serve sashimi, an array of appetizers, soup and salad despite the fact that it's called a sushi bar) and order sushi, then complain when you don't get just a plain ball of rice.
