(Anonymous) 2014-11-02 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)Also, while I personally liked S3 and the fact that it was different, I can understand why some people might have been disappointed. From what I've heard though, they did say this wasn't the new norm. They are committed to the idea of 'a show about a detective, not a detective show', but also said the mysteries were obviously a big part of that. Basically, they wanted to change the formula a bit partly because it would be a strange time in the characters' lives, but they didn't plan to keep it that way. So while it might not exactly return to S1 and S2 format, it won't be S3 either. At least, that's how I understood their explanation. It would fit with what's probably coming up in terms of story.
