The Office (US)

(Anonymous) 2014-11-04 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
- I have this weird headcanon that the reason Kelly's character changed so much was that when her sister dies (something she alludes to in an episode), it traumatized her so much she became silly and ditzy as a weird coping mechanism. It just makes more sense that way, because sometimes she's too selfish to be real.

- Was I the only one who thought some of Michael's crazier ideas were actually okay in theory, just not in practice? Like the Dundies - it's actually a fun idea imho, he just had no idea how to do it without being insulting.

- Also, I have this crazy pet theory that Michael is Don Draper's illegitimate son, which is where Michael got some of the sales gene. If you think about it, they kind of look alike.

SA - by saying "real" I really meant to say "believable."

Kelly is definitely in a range of selfishness that I have seen in real human beings. And you almost don't believe those people are really THAT selfish, like they're not real.

I agree to the second one. Sometimes his ideas aren't bad, but he's basically lost all credibility. If he weren't so desperate/selfish/deluded he actually might have been able to make their crappy job a bit more fun and meaningful and worthwhile to the people there.
