Yeah, no, that's a huge thing, the fact that male characters who are almost identical to the criticized female characters tend not to get called Stus. Like, you have to be really, really over-the-top to where there's absolutely no challenge in the story at all to be called a Gary Stu (and sometimes even then you won't be called a Gary Stu), but all you have to do is either have any impact on the world or have things sometimes go well for you to be called a Mary Sue.

Oh, I agree with you. Male characters can basically be flawless little heroes and not one would bat an eye. Honestly, I'm kind of bored by male characters at this point
