Could be age... could be weather/seasons...

I noticed my skin feeling drier/less elastic during the winter months about a few years ago.

You're getting more zits probably because your skin is compensating for the dryness by producing more oil.

It's not just winter months, because it's been that way all through summer, too. Could be age, yes, it just seems like it happened...quite suddenly? I'd expect age-related changes to be more gradual, but I could be wrong.
