Don't know if it's common, but I wouldn't think it's abnormal either given memory and emotional association to various other things like smell. For whatever reason, or maybe you're a potential hoarder lol, you like that bottle. What's wrong with that.

Or do you mean like object sexuality?

We do have an object-sexual anon here (airplanes!), but I am not them.

No no, I think my thing is definitely just "used to using this all the time, hard to find a suitable replacement that meets all the qualities I like." The plus side is, if I like the Nathan bottle as much as these ones, it's much easier to replace! Unless they discontinue it or something of course. But I think it's pretty popular, so let's hope!

Ah I see what you mean, and you sound kind of like my parents. There's a lot of "unreplaceables" that include a dustpan I suspect is older than me, a blender my mom claims no one makes anything like anymore (the blades are superior to her for no reason?), and a couple egg servers that serve as salt holders.

I think this is like 75% of all parents, especially about tools/gadgets. ;)

But it's one thing to complain how you can't find a replacement for that great baking dish in an odd size, and another to keep the old one once's it's completely worn out.
