How much earwax would you have to make for someone to taste it while nibbling your ear? Unless they have an anteater tongue and they're getting inside the ear canal...

My thoughts as well.

Isn't nibbling usually restricted to the lobe and shell?

Well, maybe it's just that the person would have their face (and therefore their eyes) NEAR their partner's ear/looking at their partner's ear. You don't have to taste earwax to be grossed out if you're happily nibbling someone's ear and then open your eyes to gaze down the abyss and there's a bunch of waxy yellow flakes just hanging in the hairs around the entrance.

I guess that would be kinda gross. I didn't think earwax typically gets out of control that badly, but it would really spoil the mood if your partner happened to have an earwax problem like that... =X

Funnily enough, I have never looked inside my partner's ear while nibbling on it. Seems like it'd be awkward to do, the angle's all wrong. I'd have to stop nibbling and purposefully peer in there.

But wax can sometimes also be found inside the shell and on the back of the lobe. Not in huge quantities, but a tiny layer can be there. Especially when you're someone who turns around a lot while sleeping and mushing your ears against the pillow, like me :| I'm cleaning them every day and there's always something to be found *sighs*

It can be more than just earwax - general dirt building up in the creases of the shell might be unappealing.
