If you think asking blunt questions about religion is the act of a scumbag, what do you think about an omnipotent deity who stands idly by while children are sexually molested?

I have not one, but two family members who stayed with their husbands because of god...the church doesn't believe in divorce. So the kids they molested (it was two brothers, one was his daughter, one his niece) were in the same house with the kids. The wives both stayed in the name of god.

Three years ago, one of the brothers was arrested for molesting a girl IN the church, as in the physical building. He had a heart attack while in jail and the family was upset he wasn't put on the transplant list. You know what? The girl he molested was the most vocal about getting him on the list and said the girl in the church was lying.

Honestly, for some there is no coming back and if the person is forced to stay around the molester there can be severe mental issues that will never be solved.

I was the person who said he shouldn't be on the list (he also smoked and said he wouldn't stop. He smoked in the hospital on his dying day which was illegal...with oxygen. The family was so brain washed they did anything) So yeah when the funeral happened I didn't go, not sure if I was invited - but i have kept my distance and yet I am the one 'straying from god' and causing my children 'eternal damnation.' You know what? Good.
