He is unquestionably one of the best actors ever to play the Doctor, isn't he?

I'd say he and Eccles are the two best, yes,

David Tennant should be but he Gurned way too much. He was Mr Gurny.

I will never forget the GIFset from Waters of Mars going around Tumblr back in the day, with Tennant going "IDK if I sold [the regeneration] enough/was emotional enough" and I'm like DUDE YOU MEAN IT COULDA BEEN WORSE NOOOOOOOOO ahahaha. He pretty much chewed through the planet, never mind the scenery....

Uggh, I like classic who pretty well, but I wish people would stop complaining about Ten's regeneration. Each body has a slightly different personality, and one of Ten's things was that he was massively egotistical. More so than Sixie, even.

He knows that when he regenerates, it's the end of something; he won't be quite the same person anymore. All the regenerations are different, there's no reason melodrama isn't a valid choice of tone. If they hadn't built up to it with Water of Mars and the Time Lord Triumphant, it wouldn't have made sense, but with the way they kept egging his character into darker and darker territory, I thought it worked. /my humble opinion

i think the problem with it is that its such aa long series tyhat nooone wants to feel like one docotr is more important. even if thyre wrong, u make a big deal aobut one doctor you make it seem like hes more important.

I was on board with Ten sulking and huffing his way through his regeneration, but that was way too long.
