I get kind of grossed out when someone tries to make "anti-Slytherin" bias a *thing* and claims to be so offended. I read a tumblr post today that started off "as a proud Slytherin..." No. You are not a "proud Slytherin" because there is no such thing in real life. You're someone who, for whatever reason, identifies with the Slytherin House we are shown in an imaginary universe, but you yourself are not actually a Slytherin. There is no such thing as "anti-Slytherin prejudice" and to to assume a martyr complex based on AN IMAGINARY UNIVERSE is annoying as hell. Real prejudice, real bias exists--against real groups of people. It's annoying as fuck to hear about someone's ersatz martyrdom inspired by an imaginary House (that openly espouses racist values at that) in an imaginary universe.

Ugh, this. I've noticed that especially the Tumblr "Slytherins" are both obnoxiously proud and obnoxiously defensive of their "House", moreso than any self-proclaimed Gryffindors or Ravenclaws or Hufflepuffs. And yes, they're apparently a very oppressed majority.
