It's not canon (in the strict sense that, you know, it didn't happen in canon) but it's pretty damn reasonable and plausible. I don't ship it personally but it's in that class of things that just makes a whole lot of sense.

NO, IT'S NOT. Jesus. REMUS HAS A WIFE AND A CHILD. He is canonically straight. Sirius had posters of Muggle girls on his walls. There's NO hint--at all--that either of them swing the other way. Stop being fucking delusional. There is not the slightest indication those two are romantically attached, other than from fans who are so sheltered, they can't comprehend how two men can be good friends.

NAYRT

Not as though people who've have spouses and kids ever come out of the closet later, right? Not like people conform to societal expectations and fake an interest in things, right?

da

I agree that Rowling in all likelihood did not intend for him to be read as homosexual or bisexual, but having a wife and kids is not proof that someone is canonically straight

RL Example of a wife and kids not being proof of straightness:

You're actually wrong. There are definite hints that Sirius could be gay. The fact that he never has a love interest, the fact that he walks through the testing room ignoring all the girls who are drooling over him. The Muggle posters are so, so easy to explain away--he put them up to piss off his parents.

And Remus could be bi.

Why are you so invested in them both being straight? It's weird.

I have some bad news...

Why are you so appalled by the idea of two male characters being together - and in fanfiction, not even in the actual text? Or are you just so sheltered you're using 'married with kids' to mean straight and can't comprehend that not everyone lives in the delusional world you do?
