Aww, anon, I'm jealous x_x In a good way, though. I'm glad your hometown has these awesome things.

I do follow a similar strategy. Huddling under thick blankets and duvets, drinking even more tea than usual (and putting even more honey and berries into it), drinking hot milk with honey, eating lots of things rich in chocolate (pies, brownies, chocolate logs 9_9), reading huge books, watching colourful films. I'd use my cat, too, but unfortunately she's about 1,563 miles away from me.

I like doing monotonous but pleasant work. RN I'm in the process of digitalizing a book that's in public domain but has never been released in an electronic form.

Huge books, yes! What is it about them that's so wintry? This is going probably to be one of those years where I try to finally read all the way through Kristin Lavransdatter or Moby Dick...preferably in front of one of the said fireplaces.

Good luck! :) I must try Moby Dick, too. I've never actually given it a go, astonishingly. It does sound like a perfect winter book.
