I've always seen Alex/Olivia from SVU as exactly that kind of slow-burn ship, and there's a ton of fan material out there. But it's pretty clearly not going to happen in canon (in fact, Alex isn't even on the show anymore and the writers totally wasted her on the last go-around) so if you want to see that actually play out on-screen, this is probably not the ship for you.

Yeah, Alex/Olivia was one of the ships that introduced me to femslash and led to me realizing I was gay, which is ironic, since I tried my darndest to ship them, read all the fanworks and meta, watched all the episodes, and could honestly never see it. They wouldn't fit in that slow burn category for me, anyway, since I'm pretty sure they were unintentional.

As someone who wishes there was more f/f in things, I didn't see it with Alex/Olivia at all...usually even if I don't ship something I can see why people do but with them I just did. not. get. it, and was shocked to see so much of it in the fandom. Honestly, I thought there was more of a basis for Olivia/Casey and now Olivia/Rollins than there ever was with Alex.
