I wish we didn't have to do this "we're better than you!!" thing. A human just landed on a fucking comet! That's amazing no matter where you're from!

Now, yes, of course, our space program has been in severe decline. I doubt anyone would deny that! NASA's had its funding cut over and over, to the point that private companies are taking up the mantle. With any luck, the suborbital flight thing will start working out better for us, despite the disastrous start.
