I can't like someone who rapes a man for decades, then kills him when he wants to be gree and murders a man to steal his child from him. Like, what the fuck? I don't care how much shmoopy redemption she gets, Regina will always be a horrid piece of shit.

Do you not believe redemption is possible?

I believe in redemption and that it is possible for anyone. The show hasn't given it to us since she hasn't acknowledged her wrongs, made amends, or really worked much at trying to be better. But were it to be actually well written, I think she could conceivably be redeemed.

For decades of horrible shit like rape and mass murder? Not really.

Regina didn't do one bad thing. She didn't do a few bad things. She has a persistent pattern of being a thoroughly despicable person spanning something to the tune of 40 years. There's a point at which change, let alone redemption, isn't remotely believable, and she (and most of Once's villains for that matter) passed it a long time ago.
